Karis Career College came out of a yawning need to bridge classroom study with the reality of modern medical practice in the 21st century. As we travelled around the world, we noticed the gap between how things are done in our local clime and what is obtainable in the US, Europe and even many parts of Asia. Medical records of patients for instance, is no longer done manually in patient cards and files. Healthcare information systems have advanced electronically and in use around the world. Same goes for medical diagnoses. Patient care has improved tremendously by innovations in these areas too. Medical Science Laboratory is a program we have introduced in-order to play catch-up with the rest of the world in this area. In a nutshell, below is our reason d’état for founding Karis Career College, encapsulated in our Vision and Mission statements.
We are a diverse and inclusive community dedicated to developing the practical knowledge and skills necessary for globally engaged citizenship and effective leadership. We aim to produce superior graduates with the knowledge and confidence necessary to succeed both professionally and financially.
Our mission is to give our students a well-balanced curriculum in the classroom and when appropriate include laboratory training and supervised clinical experience – whether it’s a career as a medical laboratory technician, Healthcare Information technician or Community Health Officer.
Our Vision is to make Karis Career College the preferred source of Healthcare career education in the community for our respective fields of study. We also want to produce responsible career minded individuals to hold intermediate manpower positions in Nigeria’s healthcare sector.

Our programs are also duly accredited and supervised by the relevant professional registration boards of the Federal Government of Nigeria. These include the Medical Science Laboratory Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), the Healthcare Records Officers Registration Board (HRORBN) and the Community Healthcare Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria. (CHPRBN). .
